Digital Health App for Men with Erectile Dysfunction

Kranus Health

Kranus Edera is a comprehensive digital health App designed to support men dealing with erectile dysfunction.

It is a personalized, holistic 12-week therapy encompassing pelvic floor training, physiotherapy, mental and sexual therapy, cardiovascular exercises, and knowledge resources.

As the lead designer on this project, I played a pivotal role in shaping the user experience, ensuring accessibility, usability, and effectiveness for individuals seeking support and guidance through this transformative journey.

Responsibility

Product Design

Visual Design

  • Led the UX/UI design efforts, collaborating with the Project Manager, our Medical team, Engineers and stakeholders to define the application's scope, features, and functionalities.

  • Conducted user research, interviews, and surveys to understand user needs, preferences, and challenges related to erectile dysfunction.

  • Designed intuitive user interfaces and engaging content layouts to facilitate seamless navigation, interaction, and engagement.

  • Collaborated with cross-functional teams, including developers, healthcare experts, and content creators, to ensure alignment, integration, and successful implementation of the therapy program.

Challenges & Solutions:

  • User Accessibility: Prioritized intuitive design for older men unfamiliar with digital products, ensuring inclusivity and ease of use.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensured adherence to stringent medical and privacy standards

  • Competitive Positioning: Conducted benchmarking and competitor analysis to refine features and differentiate Kranus Edera

Processes

I utilized interviews as a strategic tool to uncover patient needs, enabling us to drive targeted and effective design solutions tailored to their unique requirements.

In the initial stages of the project, we began the journey by sketching out our ideas on paper, transitioning from low-fidelity mockups to high-fidelity prototypes. Throughout this process, aligning with various stakeholders was crucial to ensure we were meeting both business objectives and patient needs.

Additionally, conducting user testing sessions allowed us to validate our design directions, gather valuable feedback, and refine our approach iteratively, ensuring the final product resonated with our target group and delivered a seamless user experience

After a successful study, Kranus Edera has achieved permanent listing as a DiGA in Germany.

To date, the app has empowered +10,000 patients, enabling them to take control of their health and improve their overall well-being

I'm incredibly proud to have led this project as a designer, contributing to improving people's lives and fostering healthier, happier outcomes. It's fulfilling to see the positive impact Kranus Edera has had, empowering individuals to take control of their health journey and achieve meaningful improvements in their quality of life.
